Butter. That’s it. That’s the review. The 2021 Audi A6 allroad is Teutonic butter: a deliciously creamy ride with just the right balance of sugar and salt to keep you coming back for more.
The 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine has a lovely, low purr, and the seven-speed tranny churns through to perfection. Happy to do triple digits should you get the chance, or quietly prowl through your neighborhood in a more likely scenario, the wagon’s low center of gravity affords a caretaker with traction galore while letting rug rats and assorted flotsam easy access in and out. A minivan this is not. A family hauler, this is.
I appreciate the haptic feedback of the infotainment system and the cool, realistic graphics. The beautifully crafted interior is ripe with smooth, soft leather, cool metals, and easy to read contrasting fonts. I failed to understand the dual-cover cargo area screens, and once removed, could not reassemble. Any suggestions resolving this issue are most welcome.
Wagons aren’t popular in the States, and it’s a shame because there’s a lot of utility and driving fun in this bodystyle. If you’re looking at an SUV, check out the 2021 Audi A6 allroad. It’s delish.
