The Cullinan SUV is infused with the beauty, luxury, and opulence one expects from Rolls-Royce. The high front doors and coach-style rear doors support a proportionate greenhouse and long hood, which houses a roaring 6.75-liter V-12 twin turbocharged engine. Despite the wide door openings, the ingress and egress proved difficult for me and my 5’8” driving partner. I have concerns about youngsters, the elderly, and shorter superstars (Hi, Kardashians!) accessing the cabin gracefully.

Rolls-Royce provides dozens of options for the Cullinan. This particular bespoke version has stunning open pore royal teak trim with buttery signature key embossed leather and milled aluminum accents. The heated leather steering wheel and massaging seats ensures driver comfort while passengers can sink their toes into $1,500 lambswool foot mats. Every surface is a delight, which made the flimsy gear shifter disappointing.

The Cullinan is empowering to drive, with nimble, crisp handling and excellent visibility thanks to the large windows and narrow front pillar. Despite its 5,863-pound bulk, the elegant beast quickly accelerated into triple digits while the multi-link suspension provided a feel for the road without actually feeling pesky potholes. Overall, the Cullinan is a worthy steward of the Rolls-Royce brand.
